We had an overnight break for my wife's birthday here. What a wonderful stay. The building is beautifully feet out although it's hundreds of years old. Oak beams, the odd creak in the floor, but it adds character. The staff were super helpful, friendly, and willing. The room was super, large very comfortable bed, nicely stocked, had plenty of power points with USB charge sockets in them. A superb modern shower room. The shower was large and worked well. Nicely stocked. Although we were facing the main street, the room was lovely and quiet. There is a lift to all floors. We had a meal in the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the venue covered all needs. Prices were about usual for excellent service and food. Breakfast the next morning was buffet style but all freshly cooked, (the scrambled egg was rather delicious!). With a continental breakfast table or cooked, all was help yourself to your content. Booking out was a breeze. The small car park at the rear was already full on our arrival, bye to a large function ongoing but a public car park is just to the rear with plentiful cheap parking. 3 minutes walk. All in all, A wonderful stal in a super place. . Faultless. We will be back!

Wonderful stay at The Feathers Hotel. The service was genuinely excellent from start to finish, with friendly, attentive staff who made us feel really welcome. Sitting by the open fire created a warm, cosy atmosphere that was perfect for a relaxing drink and meal on a gloomy day. The food was delicious and well presented, with generous portions and plenty of flavour, making the whole experience both comfortable and memorable.
