The Inn on Sheridan

I was not pleased with my first room. The Tv was small, Couch had multiple stains, microfibers and hair in the restroom, and crumbs and grime in the kitchen area, hair in the fridge. The water pitcher had juice stains inside in the bottom. I went to the front desk asked if someone could clean the room but since it was 6pm no one could, she handed me GUEST FACE TOWELS and a pink cleaning spray for the bathroom, for me to clean MYSELF. I later asked for her to switch my room. When I got to my next room I inspected the room the same way, it was better, but I can tell every surface was not wiped properly, like the light switches, microwave and fridge handle and toilet. Lamps were dusty and the AC is a bit loud. I don’t really understand the picture decor displayed in the rooms. To start you off they only give you two large bathing towels and only two face towels. The blankets kinda give me that hospital vibe- they’re a bit thin. I’m staying here for 4 nights and I feel as though unacceptable for me to be paying this much, just to have to deep clean the kitchen and restroom myself. I work in housekeeping so I understand they probably have to clean rooms within a time frame, but whoever inspected these rooms did a poor job…I brought my PS5 and I’m having difficulty connecting to the internet as well, when you first arrive in you have to pay a $100 refundable deposit fee to check in. They’re are marks and small spots on the wall and doors they neglect and make the overall impression of this room less than pleasant. A lot of reviews said the bed was hard, it’s not ROCK hard but definitely not SOFT either. I’d probably return, only if the rooms where properly wiped AND sanitized, especially in the most important areas- Kitchen and bathroom. Both my rooms were not presentable and my experience was a bit disappointing because of that reason, everything else was fairly pleasant.

I needed an inexpensive place to wait out the snow last weekend on my way home from a business trip. Booked a single night here because the reviews were good and when I arrived late Sunday night I was very impressed by the lobby, it's beautiful. This is one of those boutique like inns and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and checkin was quick. My room was clean and very pretty, and I love that there's no carpet on the floor because that's so much cleaner than most hotels. Breakfast was your average buffet including waffle maker, but the seating and decor was just gorgeous. It really feels like a much more expensive hotel. My only complaint is the parking lot is very small, so I imagine on busier days it would be hard to find parking. They also didn't have the parking lot plowed by checkout time, so I had to dig my car out to leave, but I managed it. I'd stay here again for sure though, it was a lovely experience overall.

Great place to stay. Friendly employees. Rooms are very nice. Breakfast is really good. Coffee bar is awesome.
