We stayed four nights at the Lekka Hotel & Spa in Athens. Unfortunately, there isn't much positive to say. We chose this hotel because of its ideal location for visiting the sights, as we wanted our stay in Athens to be relaxing. The location is indeed very good – but that's the only positive aspect. Regarding the room: Our first room on the first floor had only a very small window. The worn furniture and dirty walls immediately made a bad first impression. However, the biggest problem was the noise. Every movement of the elevator was clearly noticeable and audible. Around 5:30 a.m., preparations for breakfast began – unfortunately, without any consideration for the guests. The receptionist and kitchen staff talked very loudly, accompanied by the sounds of dishes and furniture being moved. By 8:00 a.m. at the latest, when the guests were having breakfast, the room felt like a market hall – sleep was impossible. The breakfast was identical every day, very basic, and rather cheap. Furthermore, the only coffee machine wasn't working, so we sometimes had to leave the hotel without coffee or tea. After two sleepless nights and several unpleasant conversations, we were given a different room. But there, too (as in the first room), there was no wardrobe and no way to unpack our clothes. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel.

The staff were friendly, the location was good, but it was impossible to sleep for two nights because there is a bar area next to the hotel and the music and noise in the early morning did not allow you to rest.
