The rooms are starting to show their age and there are still references to this hotel formerly being a Conrad but the staff, the price and the location make up for it. The staff are super accommodating and made my son's birthday special by surprising him with a birthday cake in the room after returning from a day out.

Somewhat shocked at the number of 1 star reviews here! I'm a titanium for life member so obviously I try and stay at Marriott run properties when I can. Brought my wife and two teenage daughters to NYC to see some shows, dine and experience NYE in NYC. I couldn't have been more impressed with the staff; everybody from the bellman, front desk staff, bartenders, and wait staff (hostess was a little rude). We didn't get room service one of the days but life goes on. Location is EXCELLENT and the rooms fresh and clean.

A really great friendly hotel with 1st class staff a superb location to explore the sights of NYC plus the theatres top restaurants and tourist attractions highly recommended and as a result I have stayed numerous times 5star place 5star staff
