Review for Marly Boutique Hotel We stayed at The Marly Boutique Hotel in Camps Bay in February and our experience unfortunately did not meet the expectations one would normally have for a boutique hotel in this category. We had deliberately booked the Junior Suite Sea Facing, because according to the hotel’s own website there is only one such suite in the entire hotel. This was an important factor in our booking decision. On arrival, however, this suite was not available to us. Instead we were placed in a Deluxe Suite on the second floor directly above the restaurant. While the room itself was nicely designed, the terrace became unusable because around 50 birds roosted under the roof above it during the night, leaving the terrace covered in bird droppings every morning. For a hotel positioning itself as a luxury boutique property, this is simply not acceptable. Only after several days did the hotel manager confirm in writing (26 February) that there is indeed only one Junior Suite Sea Facing in the hotel. While the manager was always friendly and smiling, the way this issue was handled showed a clear lack of professionalism. The location of the hotel is great, but problems like this should be addressed much more seriously in a hotel of this category.

Epic service the team from the front desk to bell hop to cleaning ladies are fabulous such a great team. Food is delicious mindset and energy are epic. Highly recommended

The Perfect Honeymoon & Babymoon Stay – World-Class Service! My husband and I spent the final three days of our honeymoon/babymoon at The Marly, and it was nothing short of spectacular. While the location and amenities are wonderful, it was the staff that truly made this a trip we will never forget. Going Above & Beyond: Charisma & Macelle Before arriving, I reached out to see if the hotel could help coordinate a private gender reveal for just the two of us. Charisma responded to my emails immediately and handled every detail seamlessly. She sent me a menu from a highly-rated local bakery and coordinated directly with my doctor to receive the secret PDF results. When the time came, Charisma personally delivered the beautiful cake to our room, thoughtfully bringing along a knife, cups, and juices so we had absolutely everything we needed to celebrate. We also had the pleasure of connecting with Macelle, and her passion for her work is truly inspiring. We spoke at length about her love for hospitality and her dedication to setting her team up for success. You can absolutely see her leadership and genuine care reflected in the flawless, warm service provided by the staff throughout our entire stay. They truly made us feel like family. Housekeeping & Room Details: The room was immaculate, featuring a beautiful, modern shower and a bed that was incredibly comfortable for a 5-month pregnant mom-to-be. The housekeeping team was phenomenal. Every single time we left the room, they slipped in to provide fresh towels, water, tidy the bed, and even fold our clothes. We were greeted with a lovely snack platter upon arrival, and they consistently kept our fridge stocked with our favorite drinks. Location: The hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of all the lively Camps Bay hustle and bustle. You are across the street from the beach, situated right above a boutique mall, and just a 1-to-2-minute walk from great restaurants like The Codfather and Bovine. Despite being right in the center of the action, our room was completely soundproof—we didn't hear the outside noise at all. Final Tip for Guests: Don't skip the breakfast! It is luxurious and worth including in your stay. Thank you SO much to Charisma, Macelle, and the entire team for your incredible warmth, kindness, and support.
