Absolutely a joke. Booked expedia, upon arrival paid for 3 nights valet ($150 total) plus $100 hold for incidental which is the norm. The $250 shows up all fine, then 2 days into my stay Chase bank locks my card for a fraud detection of two attempts of $311 back to back from the Mercantile. I asked the desk clerk, all she could say was it didn't show that on her computer. Chase unlocks my card, an hour later locks it back for a repetitive attempt again. Two days later we've returned home, the $250 valet/incidental is still pending. Now there is a $103 separate charge from the Mercantile, call to ask and the desk clerk simply "can't see that on her side". Actual booking payment was completely separate. The desk clerks are careless and there for a pay check, someone is manually attempting to debit customers cards for additional money. In total $950 for 3 nights in a hotel with musty rooms, slow draining tubs and no daily housekeeping. This is our 2nd (Feb 2025, March 2026) and last stay here. Just booked the embassy next door for next month's stay. Multiple lamps werent working, outlet covers busted, microwave wasnt even plugged in, had 2 towels for a 3 night stay for 2 people. Currently dealing with Chase bank to dispute charges after giving the desk clerks ample opportunity to help figure out whats going on.

The location is great. The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms were outdated, beds hard, and my air conditioner was broken. The room stayed at 77 degrees the entire time. We were unable to relocate rooms due to it being full but the front desk staff offered a reduction in rate even though I never asked for one. I was appreciative and accommodating to the situation until I never got the reduction or even able to speak to a manager. I called multiple times and left messages. No one ever even attempted to call me back or adjust the rate. Why offer it if youre not going to do it? I feel as if it was to keep me quiet and deal with the extremely hot room during my stay but then not follow through with the offer. I paid 1300 for 2 nights at this hotel during Mardi Gras. I will never stay again and will make sure no one I know does either. The AC is an apparent problem because they keep fans behind the front desk for the guest. Don't advertise something youre not going to follow through with. I was kind and patient and in the end got nothing back from the hotel. Worst stay.
