This establishment did not honor a reservation booked through their own website. A room was booked, a confirmation email was sent and received, and subsequently cancelled because they said the listing was at the wrong rate.

Literally the world's most comfortable bed and the minute we walked in, the teenager wanted to snuggle up with us and watch TV. That's how you know this is a good place to rest. From the minute you walk in, the front desk staff is so welcoming and helpful. They text you before you arrive to answer questions and helped us find a parking garage and store our bags before check in. Our bags were waiting for us in our room when we came back and they'd made the room so lovely for us. Beds are so comfortable, hotel is clean and inviting, and we love the art gallery feature. Highly recommend if you want a great hotel close to subway stops and great restaurants and museums.

As a former New Yorker and frequent traveler, I genuinely wonder who is writing these glowing reviews. Either they sleep through jet engines or they never turned on the air conditioner. The AC is so loud it could easily qualify as a small aircraft preparing for takeoff. “Amazing location,” apparently. Yes, there is public transportation nearby. But this is New York — there’s public transportation everywhere. That’s like praising a hotel for having oxygen. When I approached the building, I actually stopped to check the address because it didn’t look like a hotel entrance. It looked more like the side door to an office building… covered in faux flowers. Inside, the design could best be described as IKEA after a clearance sale. The rooms aren’t terrible if you like Scandinavian minimalism and furniture that looks like it came with an Allen key. The bathroom is small and purely functional — the kind of space that gently suggests you finish up and move along. Service follows the same philosophy. When I asked to shorten my stay because of the AC’s runway-level noise, I was told I was welcome to leave — but the unused night would not be refunded. Modern name. Modest reality.
