We stayed here for 6 days and returned after a short break. Pros: - The staff (very polite and professional, always helpful with everything) - The rooms are spacious, clean, mold-free, and smell nice - The prices are quite low for such high-quality service (from $50), which is a perfect balance between price and quality. - The location is close to the beach and a beautiful park, with grocery stores and spas nearby. Mr. Lie has a very good laundry service, and the coffee shop next to the store offers delicious coffee. Cons: - There's a sewage treatment plant nearby, which can sometimes smell. - There's virtually no soundproofing (neighbors, a nearby road, dogs outside, you can hear everything). - The food on the hotel grounds isn't very good for Europeans.

The staff is very responsive and always willing to accommodate. The rooms are clean, and it's obvious they're well-maintained and put effort into it, but everything is a bit dated, like most hotels in Bali. The only downside is the lack of soundproofing; you can hear everything going on outside the door, including your neighbors. (And sometimes there's a smell from the lake, but it wasn't a big deal.) Otherwise, everything is great; the beach is a 10-minute walk away.
