Before the New Year, I literally couldn't find a place to stay for a month in the area I'd chosen, after exploring the entire city. The Pacific Cool Chic Hotel & Long Stay was recommended to me by a receptionist at another hotel—and it turned out to be a perfect fit. I'll be honest: when I first saw the room, I was a little scared. I was surprised by the state of the plumbing, and it became clear the hotel clearly needed cleaning staff. But since I was planning to stay for a month, I simply bought cleaning supplies at the pharmacy and hardware store and brought the room to the level of cleanliness I'm accustomed to—ignoring the age of the furniture. The price was so reasonable that any complaints about it would have been insulting: it's all about "quiet, convenient, close to the center, and very reasonably priced." The location is ideal for a longer stay: just outside the center (the old town), yet noticeably quieter and more airy. From my window, I had a view of fields and a temple in the distance—sunsets every evening, birdsong in the morning, and truly fresh air. Everything was within walking distance: shops, pharmacies, cafes, laundromats—there's even a scooter rental nearby. I'd also like to highlight the convenient lifestyle: I rented a Yamaha NMAX for 5,800 baht/month with a 2,000 baht deposit—one of the best prices I found in the city. The scooter greatly expanded my options: sometimes I'd go to the mountains, and almost every day I'd go jogging in the large park near the university and zoo. Although jogging is also possible nearby: in the morning, many runners run along the canal/moat surrounding the old city. Despite the "aged" rooms, you can tell the hotel was once a refined establishment—the high-quality finishes and overall quality are evident. People who value peace and quiet (mostly mature) live here. I met a wonderful Japanese man named Hisato from Yokohama, who, after traveling to many countries, settled in Chiang Mai and has been renting a room at this hotel for 20 years. This speaks volumes about the atmosphere of the place. I was looking for a quiet base for remote work with a laptop, and I found the perfect balance of price, location, and quiet. And most importantly, the staff was very friendly and responsive, and any questions were answered quickly. A big shout-out and thanks to a guy named Boy (if I remember correctly) – I feel like he has everything under control and doesn't leave any questions unanswered. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, long-term stay near the city center.

Very old, nobody stayed there. Not suitable for solo travelers. Room not very clean. Hotel renovated but it was a while ago.

The room was old and dilapidated, and the bathroom was eerie. The toilet flushed only once; after 2-3 people used it, the water wouldn't flush anymore. There were sounds of running from upstairs until 1 AM. I escaped...
