The Palm Garden Hotel

Our reservation got screwed up as we used a third party, but the front desk staff was very understanding and helped us clear it up! Otherwise the rooms are in decent condition - some things needed repair and the hot water took a long time to come.

I just wanna thank the woman that was working the pm shift this past Sunday. I was ready to book a room but wanted to see a room first because I have bad allergies. I had their website with room rates and room types already up on my phone so I would know what to ask for. I also needed the first floor. Upon entering the lobby a security guard sitting, scrolling on his phone. I proceed to ask the woman if they have a room on the first floor and which room type so I could check the rates. She tells me she can't confirm if they have a room on the first floor until after I book room, and even then she couldn't guarantee what floor I'd be on. I'm standing right in front of her with my credit card in hand. So she didn't want to check the vacant room list to let me know if a first floor room is available. Then I asked her if I could see a room first before I book it. She tells me no. I ask her for a specific room type I'm seeing on their website. She then tells me, "we don't even have that room type available". I ask why is the system letting me book it online then and showing it as available? I asked if every single room on the first floor is booked? Their parking lot was empty by the way. Then she tells me housekeeping left a bunch of rooms dirty and didn't have time to clean them all that day. She quotes me a rate for a different room type that's almost 30 dollars more than their very own website, not third party. I ask if the security guard can show me a room. She says no, and still won't tell me if there is a room on the first floor and which room type so that I can proceed to book it on line at the actual rate. I want to thank her for making me a Hilton Honors memeber because that's where I went and got a room after I left the Palm Garden Hotel. I'm so excited to join Hilton whose employee immediately showed me a room on their first floor and sold me a room with a smile. I even paid more money. The outstanding hospitality and customer service was worth every penny!

I have had good rooms and not so great rooms at this hotel. They no longer have breakfast. You have to go to the strip mall across the parking lot. The front desk employees are mostly very friendly. The restaurant is no longer part of the hotel. It's a good place to stay if you just want some sleep.
