I was visiting. The rooms are large and clean. I really liked it. Since I was visiting and not staying, I can't describe it in more detail. At first glance, it was very nice.

The place is a bit dated, but still very nice. Large rooms, with views of the Manahakon Tower available upon request. Breakfast is extensive; there's something for everyone. Excellent location; Lumpini Park is about a 5-minute walk away.

This hotel managed to deliver a full sensory experience—unfortunately, not a pleasant one. The room greeted us with a persistent musty, damp smell that no amount of air freshener could defeat. The corridors added to the charm with a strong Dettol-esque aroma, making the whole place feel less like a hotel and more like a recently disinfected clinic. Hot water was a recurring adventure. The water heaters seemed to operate only when personally summoned by housekeeping, meaning we had to call almost every single time we wanted to shower—hardly the kind of anticipation you want before stepping under the tap. The pool deserves a special mention. The water was so cold it felt like it had been sourced directly from an Arctic expedition. We dipped our toes in, questioned our life choices, and promptly aborted the swim. Then there was the laundry situation. The machines on Level 2 require coins, with a helpful note suggesting guests change money at reception. When I tried, I was refused. Curiously, another guest managed to do exactly that without issue. A second attempt with a different receptionist finally worked—apparently, consistency is not part of the service philosophy here. The positives? A couple of ping pong tables for mild entertainment and a convenient location near Central Park Mall. All in all, the location tries its best, but the hotel itself seems determined to test your patience at every turn. The Quarter Saladaeng proves that while it’s called ‘The Quarter,’ comfort seems to be missing by a large fraction.
