beautiful view, execptoinal location, we are offered a free upgrade an ocean view corner suites due to the room we booked is not available, overall it is a fantastic experience.

For reference- platinum member during this stay. Photos and videos are on my Yelp review. LOCATION- Location is amazing. Right on the beach. . ROOMS- Rooms are nice. -the toilet in the bathroom was running, so I had to call maintenance. -the bedroom door does not shut! It didn't even fit properly in the door frame. (video on Yelp review) . AMENITIES- -after sunset in winter, at about 6 PM, there was no one working at the pool, and the station for the towels was unmanned and covered, as though it were off-limits, even though the pool is open until 10 PM. . SPA- -using the spa amenities is not included in the resort fee as a guest and costs extra. -had to ask for cream and sugar for the black tea they had in the spa (The only thing they had for tea were cups) . SERVICE- (yikes) Service has really gone downhill. That's the main reason I won't be recommending this place. -they had an activity on the daily schedule called 'Defining Moments' at 4:30 PM. (See photo). I waited 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, then called the front desk to inquire. She said it got canceled. Normally, they would do something to try to make it up to the guest, but she did not. So to me, the guest, this was not resolved properly. -very few employees do the "10 and 5 rule" anymore. Out of the over a dozen employees I encountered during my stay, only two of them actually did it. -A photo session is supposed to be included with the resort fee. I asked about booking one for the following day and they said they needed a minimum of 24 hours notice. Also, they had me, the guest, reach out to the on-site photographers. For a hotel of this caliber, they should be doing that for the guest. Furthermore, they should be scheduling it for you before you even get to the property to make things easier for the guest. Especially a platinum member. . TLDR: Nice rooms and location, but not up to luxury standards for the price, and the service has really gone downhill and honestly is not even considered to be up to par for luxury hospitality.

Stayed here 5 nights for an ocean-front getaway in October. Loved the location, clifftop with amazing ocean views, BUT there were so few places to enjoy the view unless you were eating at the restaurant or at the bar outside. I thought that was the biggest drawback. There was no seating on the lawn along the cliff or places inside the hotel to enjoy that view unless you paid for an ocean front room. The entire lower level looking out to the ocean was conference and meeting rooms - wasted space when there's no conference going on and guests can't use them. Lovely pool area, but service there was very slow. Had a great experience with the adventure center staff though, we did a kayak tour and enjoyed the naturalist talk at happy hour, those were great. I did morning yoga a couple days out on the lawn looking over the ocean, that was really nice! Many of the valet and naturalist staff were younger locals that grew up in the community and knew the area really well, which was really nice. Had a few really good meals at Raya and an amazing dinner at Kahani. The pool menu was not very inspired. Overall, a good getaway, but you could do so much more with that incredible location.
