The Samaya, Seminyak is the benchmark for luxury private villa accommodation in Bali. We've stayed here twice now. On both occasions, everything was flawless. The location is spectacular. Ocean frontage at Seminyak Beach, with manicured forecourt and sunset views. Breezes restaurant is less than 50 meters from the villas in the corner overlooking the ocean and particularly beautiful in the evening. The villas are aging, but are well maintained, appointed and very spacious, with modern amenities. Huge dressing room/bathroom, huge indoor shower, outdoor shower, jacuzzi and excellent air-conditioning throughout. The service is outstanding, even by Bali standards. Everyone will know your name and even your order very quickly, but they also respect your privacy and are never invasive. The hotel is also very close to the heart of the tourist area, and all the best local restaurants and shopping. There is also a convenience store across the road. Having stayed at most of the hotels along Seminyak Beach, (all of which are excellent) and having also stayed at "premium" resorts in Nusa Dua, I can confidently say that the Samaya represents the very best value for money available. There are resorts in Nusa Dua such as St Regis which are more exclusive and provide more luxury, but at triple the cost. Strongly recommended for couples looking for privacy and luxury service.
