I’ve been a Mandapa loyalist for years. The rice terraces, the quiet, the Ubud magic, nothing ever came close. Until The St. Regis Bali. We rolled in around 8 pm, drenched from the Kecak dance in the rain, on a full points award stay. I’m only Marriott Gold. At St. Regis Toronto when I was Platinum, I never even sniffed an upgrade. Here, they took one look at us, heard it was our babymoon, and said, “We’ve moved you to an Orchid Suite.” On points. Just like that. The welcome completely undid me: two adorable hand-crafted Balinese dolls, a gorgeous chocolate congratulatory cake, and the most generous baby gift set imaginable (full-size Johnson & Johnson wash, lotion, shampoo, bottle & nipple cleaner, bottle brush, and a proper little bassinet for use in the suite). The beautiful St. Regis sun hats and tote bag were ours to take home, no charge. (At Conrad Bali I once had to pay ~500,000 IDR just to buy their bag, so this felt genuinely special.) Breakfast every morning was included too, even as Gold on an award stay. The staff here radiate happiness; it’s warm, joyful, almost playful. I walked in fully prepared to leave still swearing by Mandapa… and now I’m honestly wavering. Hard. Mandapa, you’re still incredible. But St. Regis Bali just made my loyalty crack. I think I’m in real trouble. ❤️

Flawless experience with exceptional Dining and food! Apart from the attention to detail in the villas and the warmness of the personnel, we just about had the best dining experience of our lives during our anniversary stay. We booked when esteemed Michelin Chef, Joris Rousseau was on the tools for two nights! It was incredible. We felt completely happy and satisfied. Such Interesting dishes but also comforting and wonderful classic flavours. It was just perfection. The St Regis obviously commands respect by putting forward such Chefs for its guests to have once in a lifetime experiences. To cap it off the Astor Brunch on the Sunday was just sublime and over the top in the best way possible Thank you St Regis for blowing us away with the most comfortable and memorable anniversary. It will be hard to top
