This hotel is amazing. It has a modern loft look in each room. The whole hotel has wooden flooring. This hotel is in the heart of the historic downtown of Florence, AL. It is convient to restaurants on the trip as well.

I recently stayed at The Stricklin Hotel and absolutely loved the charm and character of the place. The location in downtown Florence is perfect—so walkable to great shops and restaurants. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and had a wonderful boutique feel that you just don't get at chain hotels. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. My only real disappointment was finding out that The Boiler Room in the basement was closed for renovations. I had been really looking forward to checking it out, and I wish this had been noted somewhere more prominently before my arrival so I could have managed my expectations. That said, it just gives me a great reason to come back! I’m already looking forward to my next trip when it reopens so I can get the full experience. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

Avoid if you have allergies to mold. First room had mold across the ceiling despite being the top floor (310). Moved rooms and second one had hair all over bed and pillows, with a scattering across bathroom. Also seemed to be residual mold in places. Stayed the night in that room but the next day when multiple rooms on the third floor took showers, the room flooded in the bathroom and bedroom. Staff seemed more concerned at something being involved than trying to fix it. Manager did show up the first night to change the sheets in the second room. Missed half of the welcome party the first night and arrived late to the wedding the following day due to the flooding and changing hotels. I was offered an air purifier as way of remediation for the mold issues. Refused to refund and had a condescending attitude to me and my family, especially the female manager. Only seemed to believe after they saw the videos, since the never bother checking on any of the issues except the hair on the bed and toilet/toilet seat. Location is great, and the breakfast place downstairs is fantastic with great GF options.
