The hotel is set back from the main road. This made our room very quiet. Yet, the location is within walking distance of a Michelin recommended restaurant (Day & Night Cafe, Bar, Restaurant), many shops, massage and beauty establishments and the famous Sunday Night Phuket Street Market. The pool here is salt water and the water is soothing. All in all, the Tint Hotel is a fine place to launch your adventures in Old Town Phuket.

Starting with the positives, it's definitely the location – very close to Phuket Old Town, a much quieter area. Another plus is the availability of a washing machine and dryer for 40 BAR for a wash cycle and 40 BAR for a dry cycle (both require a thorough cleaning). Breakfast isn't provided at the hotel, but a buffet with coffee, tea, fruit, and toast is available every morning, which is a nice bonus. The staff is friendly, and the lobby looks exactly like the photos provided by the hotel. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the rooms. Their only redeeming feature is the relatively comfortable bed. Unfortunately, the rooms are very poorly soundproofed, and there are large gaps between the doors and the frame, allowing you to hear absolutely everything – every step, every door slam (and they slam doors a lot in this hotel; it often jolted me awake at night). The air conditioner and refrigerator are so loud they sound like they're about to launch into space, making it really difficult to get a good night's sleep. Moreover, the hotel is adjacent to a shopping center and a housing estate where drilling is constantly taking place – forget about the silence. The final nail in the coffin, however, is the bathroom. It's truly tiny, very worn, poorly maintained, and, above all, full of mold (as clearly visible in the photos). The rooms are roughly cleaned daily (because you can't really call it cleaning – towels are replaced and the bed is made, but the floor and bathroom are unfortunately not cleaned). It's manageable for a night or two, but a complete disaster for a longer stay. P.S. There is a small pool, but it's right at the hotel entrance – the shopping center on one side and the hotel's front driveway on the other (the comfort of relaxing by the pool is questionable, to say the least).
