The Hotel has exceptional rooms - from what we understand other rooms in Milan are tiny- and these are generous rooms . We stayed in the Platinum suite and for sure it was roomy , well appointed and very comfortable . So full marks for this . The thing however that you don’t realize is that the rooms and the actual dining / reception are a block away . So you have to check in a block away and then walk to the rooms ( short walk ) but it hence is not really a serviced hotel . The place that the rooms are has no staff . And the only way you can get to them is calling them on whatsaap ( which they never pick up ) or texting them - to which they respond after a lag of 5-7 minutes . Sometimes a bit more . To get to the rooms you have to feed a code at a main door , then another swipe to the section of the building where the rooms are and then ofcourse your own door - seems a bit much really . Which too is fine till some technology gives way - as it did when we stayed . The main door lock of the building gave up and we were just locked out . So then the headache to sending them messages , someone one coming with a key etc etc- it’s a bit much in usual life and surely a lot when traveling . And they have very little to offer after that by way of service - ( asked for a table fan - stayed for 3 nights - and they could not procure one ) : it rained and the whole thing about umbrellas became a story . So all in all - great rooms - helpful staff as much as they can be - let down by the facilities the management plans and anticipates for guests .
