The View Rawada Phuket

An excellent hotel with a stunning view of the sea and sunrise. The breakfasts are delicious and varied, enough to fill you up. Towels are changed daily, cleaning is done daily, and bed linen is provided as needed. It's not hot at night in the mountains, so you can sleep without air conditioning with the balcony open. The pool is clean and "Instagrammable." On the downside, the furniture in the room is a bit tired. The location is a plus for me personally: the mountains, the quiet, the bike ride sideways, and no problems.

Wonderful hotel, stunning view... Those who write about the infrastructure—what were you thinking when you went to a hotel located in the mountains? About the noise of bikes—that's Asia. Go to Patong or Kata, for example. There's noise there all day and night. Bottom line: gorgeous view, quiet, transfer service. A golf cart will take you there upon check-in, and you can even use it to move around the grounds periodically (a senior citizen feature.) At 10:30 a.m., the transfer takes you toward the beach, grabs a bike, and you're mobile (take a 150, otherwise you'll die on the mountain). Breakfasts are great. The basics are fantastic. There's even a small hotel waterfall in the jungle. They even say there's a gym. :)) Gorgeous sunrises—that's a real highlight—I won't post photos—it's intriguing. The views are fantastic. Oh yeah, the jungle begins behind the hotel—if you're interested, you can wander around there (it's beautiful). Photos) The cool mountain air allows you to open the balcony door and sleep without air conditioning, listening to the sounds of the jungle.

The views are wonderful, the staff were a joy to deal with and the restaurant served us some of the best food we had our entire trip, but it's definitely NOT four star, our room wasn't worth the amount we paid, even after they gave us a free meal and an afternoon tea, both of which were delicious, but didn't make up for our bill being 40% more than we felt it was worth. IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF MOBILITY or HEART ISSUES DO NOT STAY HERE! They do have two golf buggies and do their best to help people get up the steepest hills, but there were times when nobody was available to drive the buggies, so we had to walk and it's STEEP, with lots of stairs, which in that heat left us breathless and sweaty...not ideal...and we're both in pretty healthy, if you're not it could literally be a serious risk to your health. The aircon in our midrange room was very poor and incredibly noisy. They're the only hotel I've ever stayed in that refused to issue two keys, so you can't leave the aircon running. We just left our single key in our room so the aircon kept running and made them take us back to our room each time. We didn't want to do that, but the alternative was to lay in bed sweating for several hours whilst our aircon wheezed it's way to a point where we could sleep. Other low points were dated decor and half the lights/switches in our room not working. The safe is half the size needed, but once they'd gotten it working we managed to cram our valuables, documents etc in. The pool is pretty good, but only has six or so loungers, which are far too few for the size of the place. The location means that unless you have your own transport you will feel very isolated as there' s absolutely nothing you can walk to and local taxis seemed reluctant to shlep all the way up there, so waits of 20-30 minutes for an expensive taxis were the norm. They do run a free daily shuttle, but it's not enough and should be at least three times a day...and whilst they're doing the shuttle run there's nobody to drive the golf buggies on site, which is just daft and needs sorting out. The place was FULL of very courteous, but very clichy Russians during our stay...they all seemed the same and whilst they caused us no problems none of them was even slightly interested in chatting to anyone who wasn't Russian, so we felt even more isolated. So, in a nutshell, we wouldn't stay there again and can't recommend it to others, but we would go there to have a delicious sunset dinner and a cocktail or two
