The hotel is located in a well connected area, just a 7 minute walk to Stratford Station, 1 minute walk to Stratford high Street and the bus station is right in front of the hotel. The hotel has a warm and cozy feel, just as we entered it was nicely decorated and it had mince pies in the reception, the breakfast area was beautifully decorated as well and it offers views of the street as well. The breakfast area had a patio as well which would be amazing to serve breakfast in summer there. Our room was spacious enough (as spacious as it can get in UK), we had a huge balcony (same size as our room) and we had beautiful views of the street and street lights. The bathroom was small but enough for what we needed. The breakfast was good, a bit of everything eggs, bacon, sausages, pastries etc, these were refilled all the time and we always found an available table in the morning. The staff was polite and helpful, when we arrived in our first day we requested an early check in, as we were super tired, and the room was ready for us (thank you). The reception staff was always polite and nice, they offered us discounts to some restaurants nearby which we appreciated (the British restaurant was pretty good). Overall we were super pleased and would definitely come back. The bathroom had and odd shower head, there wasn't a flexible one to use, it got really tough to use only that, especially when rinsing hair conditioner. After every shower, water was filling the floor, as the shower door couldn't close properly. It was super annoying to step every time in water after a shower. At the breakfast we didn't get fresh coffee, the coffee machine served only instant coffee. That is a shame, for a 4 star hotel to serve low quality coffee. On our first night I called the reception to ask for some help to turn up the heating (as I couldn't control it from the room), the receptionist confirmed he will turn up the heat. After one hour I called again and he said he will turn up the the heat. On our last night I found a letter in the room saying that "the ac system is malfunctioning and it may affect the room temperature in the room". I don't feel thats the way to send a message to the customer. I would have preferred to be called or told by the reception face to face about this issue, rather than to find a note under the phone. I would have appreciated more storage for the clothing, the space was just insuficient. There was only a small closet with no shelves. The bed could have been more comfortable, the mattres was just too wobbly to sleep on.
