My wife and I had planned a stay at the Thompson from Dec. 28 - 31st, but had to delay our arrival till the 29th. Unfortunately our room had to be re-booked because I had forgotten to inform the hotel of our late arrival. Safe to say (given the five starts), the entire team at the Thompson worked with me and my family to make sure we still had an excellent stay. The location is absolutely perfect for a visit to central park and getting to mid-town. It's not "too close" where you're stuck in the chaos of time square, but getting there is extremely easy. Lastly, I wanted to especially shout out Charlie Garcia-Dominguez in helping us get the arrival mix up sorted out. Truly top tier service on his part and a great example of not only someone who is good at his job, but someone who is just a good person. Thanks Charlie and excited to stay here again!

Excellent stay. We booked on points, but were able to upgrade to a suite and the lounge for $100/night. Justin, at the front desk, was awesome. Wished me a happy birthday and showed us to the lounge. He was really a standout for service. The lounge had decent breakfast, hors d'oeuvres at night, drinks and desserts midday. Great coffee machine. The vibe and location of the hotel were great. We didn't eat at the restaurants there, so can't comment on that. Would definitely come back.
