Absolutely loved the location: it’s super convenient (via walking) to pretty much all things in central and Jordaan. And coming off a train from central station, it’s a few minutes walk from the metro. The view from the 5th floor room was very nice. Service was good, whether it’s the breakfast crew, the front doormen, or the check-in desk. Everyone was very attentive, including when our shower had a defective plastic strip on the bottom of the shower door which caused a lot of water to leak out. They fixed it within the same morning of being notified. My only gripe with this hotel is the rooms are very tight. I booked a king room, and it’s truly the king bed and a little bit of room around it. But we were able to fit two checked bags and one carry on bag around the bed, to give you size reference. So if you’ve stayed in a standard-sized hotel in Manhattan NYC, you understand the vibe.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Tivoli for 5 days. Everything about the hotel was outstanding. Starting with the location, there was no where in the city we could not get to just by walking, the hotel is perfectly situated. The hotel itself is beautiful, historic, and so bright, so much natural light coming through. Even though the hotel is situated right in the city centre, noise was never an issue overnight. Their hotel restaurant was my favorite place to start our mornings, a great view overlooking the canal, with great options for breakfast. I read some reviews complaining about room size, but I had no issues, I thought our room was a great size, fit ourselves and our luggage comfortably, with a nice sized bathroom attached, and large windows to let so much natural light in, and great views of the city. Lastly, the staff was extremely knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, whether through their impeccable service, or their foresight to help us with things before we even needed to ask. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit Amsterdam, you will not be disappointed.

While everything about the hotel is really good, what makes it outstanding is the staff/service. Every single interaction we had, from the time we entered the hotel and someone helped with our luggage immediately all the way to breakfast, reception, wait staff etc - exceptional. Also got great local recommendations on where to spend New Year's, some cafes and restaurants etc too. Super happy!
