We stayed for one night on December 27th with a two-person lucky bag plan. We visited Ise Grand Shrine and arrived via the Ise-Shima Skyline. We arrived around 3 PM, but there was a line at reception, so we waited on the sofa. A bell rings when it's your turn, and we were given a welcome drink, so the wait wasn't a problem at all. The food is buffet-style, both in the evening and in the morning. There's no designated time. Since there was such a long line at reception, I figured it would be crowded if I went at 6 PM, so I went at 4:30 PM. It was pretty empty at that time, which was nice, but when I finished eating and went outside, there was a long line waiting to get in. Going early was a good idea. However, the buffet itself had a wide variety of dishes and was incredibly delicious!!! As many reviewers have said, the food is truly excellent. It's not a perfect score, but 120 points. There were a variety of baths to choose from, including two indoor baths, five private baths, an open-air bath, and a foot bath, which I enjoyed! The hot water was also great, which I personally found very pleasant. The outdoor path leading to the open-air bath was also very picturesque and enjoyable. The room was incredibly spacious, well-maintained, and had two sinks and a large bath—we were very satisfied. It was more than enough for two people. About the service: While there are many foreign staff members, they all made an effort to provide excellent hospitality, which was very appreciated. While some may not understand nuanced Japanese or understand the subtleties and common practices unique to Japan, I think it's more a matter of the guest's attitude. I think it's all about conveying the fact that they're making an effort to provide excellent hospitality. They studied Japanese, learned their duties, and can be criticized for even the smallest mistakes, which I imagine is difficult, but those who understand are able to understand. Thank you very much. Points for improvement: - Upon arrival, a foreign staff member carried our luggage and guided us to the sofa, but the luggage containing our ingredients was placed on the floor instead of the table. I think it would have been better if they had placed it on the table. ・This is a bit of a spoiler about the lucky bag, but I was expecting it to be filled with local items, but it was stuff that can be bought anywhere, so I was a little disappointed. It didn't have to be expensive, so I think it would have been nice to have something that could only be found locally. However, it's not something I can't use, so I'm grateful to have it. Why not try specifying a dinner time? I don't think it's ideal when it's so crowded that you can't get in. The room was clean and the food was delicious, so it was a very satisfying trip. If I go to Ise Toba again, I'll definitely use it.

I stayed for one night starting on December 31, 2025 (New Year's Eve). I arrived around 2:30 PM and parked in the parking lot in front of the hotel. Check-in was scheduled for 3 PM, but I was able to check in 30 minutes early. Immediately after checking in, I went to the free private bath, which does not require a reservation. I used the Tanuki bath, one of five private baths, but the changing room was small and only comfortable for two people. The changing room had floor heating, so it wasn't cold. Access to the private bath and open-air bath is outdoors, so it was quite cold at this time of year. Also, having to wear geta sandals and walk up the stone steps and walkway can be difficult if you have small children. I went to the open-air bath in the morning, but there were no other guests there, so I was able to relax. However, the view of Toba Bay was only visible through the gaps in the trees. *Regarding the hot spring, the water quality is alkaline simple spring water. The large public baths in the Ukishun-tei and South Building use boiled water, not hot springs (unfortunately). Also, unfortunately, none of the baths offer a view of Toba Bay. (I don't know about the women's baths.) Welcome drinks included zenzai (sweet red bean soup) and juice. The view of Toba Bay from our room was stunning. We spent a relaxing time watching the boats passing by. Since it was New Year's Eve, we had toshikoshi soba (500 yen extra), which we enjoyed while watching the Red and White Song Contest. The next morning, there was a mochi pounding competition, and we had kinako mochi (roasted soybean flour mochi). Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style. The variety wasn't extensive, but the taste was decent. The French toast in the morning and the tuna steak and apple pie in the evening were delicious. There was also a tuna cutting show, but it wasn't a WOW! moment, and to be honest, it was pretty disappointing. There's also a souvenir shop, laundry, game corner, rock sauna, karaoke, and more. A shuttle bus to Toba Station is available. The location was great, close to Toba Station, Toba Port (ferry), Toba Aquarium, Ise Shrine, etc. There were many new foreign staff members, but their Japanese was poor and difficult to understand, and they took a long time to show guests to their seats during meals, which were negative reviews. However, the friendliness was a plus.
