Tokyu Stay Fukuoka Tenjin

Stayed here for 5 nights this past November in a residential twin room. It's located a few minutes walk from the nearest subway station (less than 5 mins). The location is decent but not perfect - it's right in between Tenjin and Hakata station so there's not a lot to do in the immediate area. There was a decent amenity bar in the lobby, nothing fancy. The hotel has a restaurant in the lobby as well as a well-stocked Lawson next door. Staff are friendly and helped us with forwarding our luggage to the next hotel. The room was spacious but didn't have a lot of storage space (just a bar that could hang about 4 items with no drawers or closet). The beds were on the firm side but not uncomfortable. The room had a microwave and fridge/freezer which was convenient. There was also an in-room washer/dryer (one of the primary reasons for us to stay here) - takes about 3-4 hours and everything was clean and mostly dry. The bathroom had a nice rainfall and handheld shower with a soaking tub. I wish the lighting was better in the bathroom especially in front of the mirror. I would consider staying here again but may look around at other options closer to Tenjin or Hakata station next time.

I come to Fukuoka often, and this is the best place to stay. The location is great, and the room condition is also very good compared to other hotels.

I stayed at the hotel from January 4th to 6th, 2026. Here are my brief impressions: 1. The hotel is located near Exit 6 of Tenjin-Minami Station on the subway. It's about a 5-7 minute walk to the right after exiting. The only thing to note is that Exit 6 only has stairs; if you have luggage, it's recommended to take the elevator or find an exit with escalators (such as Exit 1 or 3) for convenience. 2. There's a Lawson convenience store to the right of the hotel exit, and it's about a 10-minute walk from the shopping district, which is quite convenient. 3. The lobby is on the 2nd floor. This time, I encountered staff who spoke Chinese, making check-in smooth! Complimentary toiletries (also available in the rooms) and a coffee machine are provided. 4. Taking the elevator up requires a room card and automatically takes you to your floor; other floors cannot be accessed. This is a good security system. Going down to the 1st or 2nd floor does not require a room card. 5. I stayed in room 420 on the 4th floor, a double room with a view of the street. The room was spacious enough to fit two suitcases, both opening wide! 👍 There was also a small table and a small sofa chair, convenient for storing things! The bathroom was also quite large for Japanese standards. 6. It had all the basic amenities, such as a refrigerator, slippers, a clothes rack, shampoo and shower gel, towels, and bath towels. I was surprised to see a washer and dryer for the first time; it was surprisingly quiet, so it wouldn't disturb others. Of course, I recommend not using it too late at night. 7. There were power outlets on both sides of the bed (very important), so my partner and I could each use one side without fighting over them! 😆 There was also a power outlet on the desk for charging. 🔋 8. I only stayed two nights and didn't encounter any problems. The soundproofing was good; I didn't hear any noise from next door. You can also temporarily store your luggage after check-out. 🧳 I would consider staying here again next time!
