Very calm and private resort. The private villas have something special about them. The resort is located about 10 minutes away by scooter/car from the center of Lamai. The prices are expensive compared to prices in Thailand. Overall, a good resort if you want peace and quiet, while still being relatively close to the town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Tolani Resort Koh Samui and can absolutely recommend the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival: We received a complimentary upgrade to a pool villa, which significantly enhanced our stay. The villa was very modern, spacious, and exceptionally clean. Contrary to some previous reviews, we cannot confirm that the hotel or the rooms were dirty at all – on the contrary, everything was immaculately maintained. The service was outstanding. We have rarely experienced such friendly, warm, and attentive staff in a hotel. Every single one was extremely courteous, helpful, and always had a smile on their face – it truly left a lasting impression. Breakfast was good overall. The fruit, in particular, was very fresh, delicious, and varied. We would have liked a slightly larger selection of typical Thai dishes, as the focus was more on Western breakfast options. The gym is a real highlight: very modern, superbly equipped, and with everything you could wish for in a complete workout. In addition, there's a sauna, which we didn't use, but it certainly complements the overall offerings. One minor criticism concerns the beach: The hotel doesn't have its own dedicated beach. While there is a small section of beach right next to the hotel, it's unfortunately quite littered. On the plus side, there are hardly any other people there, so you can enjoy some peace and quiet – however, the litter makes it less than inviting. We would have appreciated it if the hotel had at least cleaned the adjacent area a bit so that guests could relax there with their own towels. We also found it very convenient that fresh water was replenished in our room every day. Overall, a very modern, stylish resort with excellent service, impeccable cleanliness, and outstanding facilities – we would definitely return.

Khun Junior and Khun John made me feel like I was at home. Wow. The standard of spoken English is refreshing. I am a walk-in guest but made to feel so welcome. Resort residents here are in the right place. Happy hour beers are a positive. Friendly management P’Tien kudos. Good view. Cool breeze. Did not eat but fellow guests I met here highly recommended the food. It’s quiet and relaxing. The pavilion allow smoking with a great view. Will be back next week. Happy days.
