Updated - Feeling underwhelmed. We booked this hotel solely because it was one of two available that offered a hot tub. We’ve been here 2/3 nights and so far each night the hot tub has been luke warm. Like not even bathwater hot. I called the front desk this afternoon and asked for the heat to be turned up tonight and it did not happen. Same luke warm tub. I asked the woman front desk if they could turn it up for tomorrow night and she told me that “Iowa state law dictates that public hot tubs can’t be over 99 degrees” I’m not sure if the staff is aware but it’s posted online on the US Consumer Product Safety Commission website that the max hot tub temperature in Iowa is 104 degrees. My kids were really looking forward to this while we were visiting family here so i hope they can figure something out. **Update** Staff contacted us again. Claimed that maintenance would look into it - again. We are at the hot tub right now and it is cold. Colder than before. I will absolutely not be back.
