This is my first negative public review, as I usually try to give establishments a lot of grace. I’ve spoken with the general manager (Preyesh Govin) several times via email and phone, and he was not very helpful in resolving my situation. I made a complaint to corporate, and while they could not refund me, they state that they would situation better (still waiting on this) even though Preyesh refuses to do so. With that being said, I would strongly encourage everyone to take a pause before booking this hotel. I’ve stayed here previously and have had great experiences. This time, I checked in and started to brush my teeth - brown water came out the sink. The room was nasty and the furniture was filthy. About 20-30 mins after checking in, I went to the front desk and complained and showed the video. They stated that the city is working on something across the street and the brown water was normal. I also asked the front desk if we could get a refund for the weekend and attendant stated that I could not due to their 48-cancellation policy. We said okay and that we would deal with it. On Sunday, I woke up to check out and there was a HUGE roach crawling towards the bed. I let the front desk know immediately - again, nothing they can do. I asked for the general managers number and he told me that the water has been brown because of the construction going on, the hotel is dated so that is why it is dirty, and that he will get pest control to come in. After following up with him, he said there was nothing he could do. I told him that’s unacceptable and after further conversation he gave me a $50 refund. I still think that is unacceptable due to the conditions. I reached out to corporate, and the general manager lied to corporate stating that I never complained about the room before checking out. I definitely complained within 20-30 mins of checking in on the first day. Beware of staying here. In my opinion, the general manager seems to think these are normal conditions for a hotel based on his solutions. I’ve added photos for reference.
