TownePlace Suites Jackson Ridgeland/The Township at Colony Park

As a Gold Elite Marriott Bonvoy member, I traveled to Jackson, MS, and stayed at the TownePlace Suites Ridgeland/Township Colony Park on December 11. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby appeared pleasant. I checked in at the front desk and was assigned room #321, receiving the keys. When my daughter, her friend, and I entered the room, it initially looked clean and inviting. However, upon pulling back the comforter to disinfect the sheets, I was utterly disgusted to find them filthy. Additionally, the sheer curtain was clean, but the thicker curtain had stains and spots that were unacceptable. I attempted to contact the front desk three times to report these issues before heading back down in person. Upon arrival, I found no staff at the front desk. After about five minutes, a clerk came out from the back room. I explained my concerns and requested to be moved to another room. I was told that the hotel was sold out. I then asked if the bed linens could be changed, and I was informed that housekeeping was gone for the day. The clerk did go into a closet, retrieved some bed linens, and asked me to change the sheets myself. I was shocked, especially considering that all other hotels in the area were sold out. When I returned to the room to disinfect and put on the new sheets, I discovered they were also dirty. Despite these issues, we managed to get through the night and checked out at 7 a.m. I advised the front desk staff that I needed to speak with the manager. I was told the manager was not in and would be available at 9 a.m. I left my contact information, forwarded photos of the room, and explained my experience. To date, I have not received any follow-up or communication. I have called the hotel multiple times, but the front desk staff continues to say the manager is never in. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of cleanliness and the lack of response to my concerns.

Really loved it. Staff was amazing, front desk always happy to assist and made sure everything was ok. Breakfast was well stocked and food offering changed everyday. Ample parking, really quiet surrounding, lovely stay. I was really surprised that house keeping is offered every day and not only a every other or every third day as most of TownePlace do. And more to it: it's not simply a refresh as expected but a real house keeping service. Our attendant, Fabiola was top notch. She did such a great job and with a communicative smile. Kuddos to her.
