It's old, but the location is fantastic. I stayed here for five nights in June 2025 for around 100,000 won per night. It's right in front of Hakata Station, making it convenient for shopping and dropping off luggage. There are many great restaurants near Hakata Station. Shinsen Sando, Kiwamiya Hamburger, Ichiran Ramen, and Komeda Coffee are all located near Hakata Station. Even late at night, there's a lot of traffic, making it safe and convenient to get around. The staff are all friendly. The only downside: The rooms are small and old. I plan to return to Fukuoka soon, and even then, I'd stay at the Toyo Hotel.

Rooms were small and cramped, but it was really good for its price and location, with a minute or two walk to reach Hakata Station. Conveniently, there is a Family Mart and a pharmacy nearby. I would go back here.

What about this hotel? I was a little worried because it looked quite old online, but it was incredibly cheap. We stayed here for seven nights, including breakfast, and the total cost for two people in a double single bed was around NT$17,000, maybe NT$18,000 at most. To be able to book such a hotel during the New Year's holiday, I have to say it was fantastic. My partner and I had no problem with double single beds, which is why we chose this hotel. However, we ran into trouble on the first night. Apparently, the bed edges weren't firm; they were soft. So, if you were sleeping near the edge, it was easy to slip and fall to the floor. Luckily, I overcame this problem by the third or fourth day. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, mainly because it's super close to the bus stop. If you're coming from the Fukuoka International Line, just take the bus and get off at Zizhukou Station; the hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from there. At this intersection, there's a 24-hour drugstore on one side and a 24-hour FamilyMart convenience store on the other. I'm personally super satisfied with this location. A little further ahead is a 7-Eleven, but they don't offer full tax refunds, so I highly recommend going to the side with the Totobashi store; that one offers tax refunds. Speaking of breakfast, what impressed me most was its all-you-can-eat mentaiko (spicy cod roe) – truly all-you-can-eat! If you find your bowl empty of mentaiko, you can immediately ask the server for more. So, during our eight-day, six-night stay, we ate our breakfasts very well every day, and then upgraded our second meal to lunch or dinner around 4 pm to avoid the crowds. Honestly, aside from being a little old, this hotel is impeccable. The rooms are even larger than APA hotels, and it has everything you need. The breakfast was also quite satisfactory, probably because of the mentaiko.
