The front desk is awful 💢 I arrived 15 minutes early and parked, "There will be a 100 yen parking extension fee!" I asked, "Check-in is 3 PM, how many minutes before is okay?" They said, "About 10 minutes before." Doesn't they understand the standard? What's more, the front desk lady was extremely annoyed while handling the situation, which made me even more annoyed 💧 I'll have to let my local friends know about this!

Overall Review A severe lack of facilities Front Desk It was 2019, and there was only one self-check-in machine and one staff member. The staff member waited while the self-check-in was in progress, and no separate check-in service was available. This meant that guests had to wait in line. Senior citizens and foreigners who struggled might never get their turn. The alphabet input method (UI) for the check-in machine was rubbish. AEIM... BFJN... CGKO... DHLP... ⬆This line is confusing, and it's tiring to search for the alphabet. Let me input QWERT. There were still two staff members around 7:00 AM. I wish there were two in the evening and at night. Guest Room The shower had a lever-operated mixer faucet, no thermostat, so I couldn't tell the temperature. Bathroom If you're filling the bathtub with hot water, the temperature will change when the water starts flowing and after a while, so you'll need to check the water temperature during the process. Install a thermostat. Weaken the shower pressure and use a water-saving shower head. Internet connection is unreliable and unavailable from 7:00 PM to midnight. Internet connection is stable after midnight. There's only one crappy elevator, a staple of Toyoko Inn. It can fit up to four people with suitcases. In the morning, even if the elevator arrives, you might not be able to get on. Open the stairs. The breakfast area has a capacity of just under 30 people. The dish return area is the same as the start of breakfast and the entrance is narrow, so the flow is crappy and it gets very crowded. Overall, the facilities are poor and there's no follow-up. Is this a "kidzaa"? Most of the issues are more down to Toyoko Inn headquarters than the hotel itself. This stay left me with a renewed sense of determination to never stay at Toyoko Inn again and a renewed appreciation for its competitors in the same industry.
