Worst hotel ever i didn't know it was that bad -10 Room smells like bleach bathroom dirty. It's on my top 3 worst experience. With hotels

Listen. I am not fancy. I do not need luxury when I travel. But I do need a room that does not make me question my life choices. This place did not meet that standard. We walked into our room and I saw trash in the corner, like housekeeping just said “eh good enough” and wandered off. The bathroom had a big sad hole in the ceiling where a fan should have been. Just a grimy crater staring down at me. The wall had some kind of fixture or at least it used to before it exploded into a handful of loose wires that should not have been loose or exposed or visible to the public. There was also a bug in the shower. I will leave it at that. They charged me a twenty dollar pet fee which honestly felt offensive because my dog was the cleanest thing in that room by a long shot. He looked around like he was considering reporting the place to management himself. The whole vibe was that I should keep my shoes on at all times. I am talking from the shower to the bed and straight through until checkout. To be fair the staff was pleasant and check in was easy and the room technically had four walls. It also had a door that closed. It's not far off the interstate. Would I stay here again? Only if the choices were this or sleeping in the parking lot and even then I would hesitate. If you are desperate and need a roof over your head and do not require comfort or cleanliness then this place will function. Barely. Bring flip flops. Bring Lysol.
