Really rude, belittling, loud receptionist. . . Stepped through the door. . Stood there, never even said anything. Receptionist came from her side office looked at me and said ' I can start booking in but this man at the desk is first, those guys sat over there are next. . They came in before you. . Then I can deal with you. . . I hadn't said a word, I didn't rush the desk. . She was so loud and unnecessary, I couldn't believe how rude she was. . Even the guys sat down look over as if to say what the hell was that about. Thanks for the great first impression receptionist. She probably thinks she's very proficient and professional. . . No you are just blinded by you own rudeness.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Travelodge and were genuinely impressed by the overall experience, especially considering the exceptional value for money. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile by the lovely Rachel, the supervisor at reception. She was incredibly helpful and welcoming, setting a positive tone for our stay right from the start. Her friendly and professional manner made the check-in process smooth and effortless, and she was just as pleasant and accommodating when we checked out. It’s always reassuring to be welcomed by someone who clearly takes pride in their role and genuinely cares about guests having a comfortable stay. The room itself exceeded our expectations. It was spotlessly clean, very spacious, and thoughtfully streamlined in its design. The layout made excellent use of space, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment without feeling cluttered. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and we particularly appreciated the added convenience of a pull-out bed neatly stored underneath. This is a fantastic option for families or small groups who may need the extra sleeping space without sacrificing room comfort. Another thoughtful touch was the good-quality tea and coffee selection provided in the room. It’s always nice to be able to enjoy a hot drink first thing in the morning or after a long day of travelling, and the supplies were well-stocked and of better quality than you might typically expect at this price point. Additionally, the vending machine offering snacks was a convenient feature, especially for late-night cravings or a quick bite before heading out. The bathroom was equally impressive—clean, modern, and well-maintained. The shower provided good water pressure and consistent temperature, making it refreshing and enjoyable to use. Fresh towels and essential toiletries were provided, and everything felt hygienic and carefully prepared. It had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stayover, whether for business or leisure. Although breakfast is not served on-site, this was not an issue at all, as there are several nearby cafés where a variety of breakfast options can be easily obtained. This actually gave us the flexibility to choose exactly what we felt like eating, whether it was a quick coffee and pastry or a full cooked breakfast. What truly stands out is the incredible value. Paying just £44 for two people sharing a double room is outstanding, especially considering the cleanliness, comfort, and friendly service provided. It’s rare to find such affordability without compromising on quality. Overall, this Travelodge delivered everything needed for a pleasant and stress-free stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for clean, comfortable accommodation at a very reasonable price.
