What a weird experience. Travelled for work - hot day - room ok but my 7.00pm check in was clearly too late for well …..everyone -restaurant closed , bar closed , a sign asking me to ring to check in behind three empty counters . Nope it wasn’t midnight - it was 7.00pm. There was a bizarre group of about 15 sitting on the first level - in the darkness- who looked at me as if I was interrupting plans on world domination - and this was supposed to be the way to the bar . If you enjoy feeling like it’s the zombie apocalypse- this is the place for you - best advice - just don’t - there’s a lot better around

Upon entering the hotel, you immediately feel unwelcome. The reception desks are so high that you can't really see the staff. Even a man over 6'3" could barely see them. We also had the "pleasure" of encountering a completely unfriendly, very unpleasant, and artificially smiling receptionist upon our arrival. And this wasn't an isolated incident. Customer service and friendliness are clearly foreign concepts here. The rooms are large, but utterly lacking in design. There's no decent storage space. The available storage area barely fits one suitcase, and that's it. If two people are traveling, the rest of the luggage has to go on the floor. The bathroom is similarly spacious, but offers nowhere to put a toiletry bag, hairdryer, or anything else. Furthermore, the entire room reeks. Presumably, it's coming from one of the two bathroom drains. The toilet has no lid. The only positive aspect is that the room and bathroom are accessible for people with disabilities. Parking was supposed to cost 28 AUD per day and would have been several hundred meters away. We didn't use it. Instead, we used the parking lot near the hotel (to the left on the next street) with the evening option for 5 AUD and then parked in the available spaces after 6 p.m. Since we were leaving in the morning anyway, this was a great alternative for us, and quite inexpensive to boot. Breakfast was okay, nothing more. Limited selection, very minimalist. There was only one coffee machine, so if it was busy, there was a queue. A word of caution for anyone wanting to check out later than 10 a.m.: late check-out is available until noon. After that, it costs 20 AUD per hour, and after 6 p.m., you're charged for the entire night. However, you only find this out if you specifically ask. Overall, the staff (except for the lady at breakfast) are unfriendly, dishonest, and clearly have no concept of customer service – therefore, unprofessional. A real shame. A smelly room is too expensive, no matter the price. We would never voluntarily check in here again.

Slightly away from the city centre, but easy to find. Spacious room with a walk in shower.
