The hotel faces a major road where ambulances and large vehicles also pass, so you can hear a lot of vehicle traffic. The walls are thin, and I frequently heard noises from neighboring rooms, including smartphones vibrating (or perhaps the sound of other equipment operating?). This hotel is not suitable for people looking for quiet relaxation. The bathroom is not the usual three-piece unit, but only a toilet and shower room, so it was a shame not to be able to soak in the tub... I completely overlooked this on the reservation website. It seems you can rent a private bath if you make a reservation at the front desk. The amenities provided in the room are minimal, and guests are expected to take their own. That's fine, but the lack of a phone line to call the front desk was inconvenient, as I couldn't ask about the bath or anything else mentioned above. The front desk provides an overview of the hotel upon check-in, but there are no guide booklets in the rooms, and guests have to scan a QR code. The basement gallery and library space are certainly nice, but since I'm here to stay, I would like them to focus on providing a relaxing stay, such as soundproofing and a bathtub. In summary, I think people who: - Don't mind not being able to take a bath - Don't mind the noise - Just want to be able to sleep - Are attracted to the gallery, workspace, and shared kitchen would be satisfied. I didn't think I'd want to use it again.

It's conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, and the rooms are clean and reasonably priced.
