It's a bit pricey, but the hospitality is top notch. The sulfur bath was also very effective. Not many people come to Unzen, but there are few tourists from neighboring countries, so it's a great place to refresh yourself.

This time I stayed in a premium room at Miyazaki Ryokan. Perhaps because I stayed on a Sunday, the room was empty and the lounge was all to myself. The room was spacious enough with a double sink, and if you open the window, the semi-open-air bath offers a wider view than the large communal bath and you can look out over the mountains. The food was also delicious, just the right amount and not too little, so I was very satisfied. Breakfast was also delicious! Hell is right behind the hotel, so we went for a walk after breakfast. The staff were not pretentious and were very hospitable. It wasn't cheap, but I got a good deal for the price, so I'm very satisfied.

This long-established inn stands in a breathtaking location, with steam rising from the hot springs! It has apparently been rebuilt many times to reach its current state. The interior is modern and beautiful. There were few tourists on weekdays, so it was quiet and relaxing. The staff's service was also excellent, making this an inn? or hotel? I want to return again and again.
