It's actually a 3.5-star hotel, but Google won't let me give it more. Let's start with the good: 1. The location: you're 10-20 minutes from all the city's tourist attractions, making it a great place to stay while visiting. 2. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bathroom is huge, and the hair products are good quality. 3. They provide free water and snacks, which is a nice touch. They also give you a free umbrella for exploring the city, especially useful now that it's been raining non-stop (as long as you return it, otherwise it costs €20). Now for the bad: 1. Despite being warned that booking the cheaper room means you'll be exposed to noise, many reviews mention sirens or loud noises, but it's actually every car and person passing by. Being next to a hospital and a major road, you'll be woken up by noise from 7 am onwards, which can be quite tiring on longer stays. 2. Because it's an old house, you can hear everything, and you'll hear EVERYTHING that happens upstairs. I know this is beyond the hotel's control, but if you happen to have a noisy neighbor, you'll suffer quite a bit. 3. Being at street level, you'll have to close the windows if you want any privacy, which makes the room dark and ruins its charm. That said, would I recommend it? For short stays if you get the cheapest room or if you're someone who doesn't mind noise. For the price we paid, it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't return and would try a hotel that's a bit more soundproof.
