The staff at the reception, in the restaurant and in the café are very friendly and the food is very good. In the spa area you can only use the pool, and the sauna and the hydromassage pool are charged separately (which is not stated anywhere). I don't know what the hotel has done to deserve 4 stars and the very high price per night (190 euros for two people out of season, in February). The rooms are crying out for renovation, the furniture is worn out and old-fashioned, the tiles on the balcony are from some distant time, part of the wall at the entrance to the room is destroyed, the hairdryer is of questionable quality... Considering that we stayed at the Lone hotel in Rovinj for the same or even lower price, which is incomparably more beautiful, more modern, and more spacious, we were shocked when we saw the rooms in the Valamar Diamant hotel.

Rooms with a "sea view" currently overlook a construction site, where there is terrible noise from early morning until late afternoon, both during the week and on weekends.
