VALO Hotel & Work Helsinki

I returned to the UK on Monday following a weekend at your hotel and I would like to address a few issues which disrupted our stay - I tried speaking to someone at the property and was told to go via Booking.com but having done so I have been ignored by yourselves and you do not answer the phone or emails. Firstly, the hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and modern and although the room was quite small, it was also very modern, clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, during our stay, a number of issues happened and I would like your attention to these matters as they made us feel very unwelcome and as if we were intruding. I received your message relating to Friday nights' private events prior to our arrival and whilst I appreciated you letting us know - you did not show the same courtesy regarding other private events which meant facilities could not be accessed by us (wellness centre/spa having private events on Saturday and the cocktail bar also being closed to hotel residents Saturday evening, rooftop bar being closed). The wellness/spa bar was closed all day on Sunday as well and even though you have a QR code for guests to order drinks, this has been turned off and nobody bothered to answer the telephone in reception when we called either. On top of this, we brought guests to the cocktail bar on Friday, they ordered food which they never received and we had to wait over an hour before being told it would not be made as the kitchen had closed and they were left hungry and annoyed. Finally, the nail in the coffin, a prostitute walked into the hotel very clearly on drugs on Saturday and sat at our table, she kept opening her coat to expose her lingerie to my partner and made us both feel extremely uncomfortable. I know she was a prostitute as she kept turning her phone and showing us her sex worker page. I flagged staff members but they all ignored the situation. Overall, our stay was very disrupted and we spent the whole weekend feeling as though we were intruding in private events where we should not have been - I don’t expect this to be the case when I have paid for the advertised facilities and I would really like to know how you can correct this. Stayed here for almost a week. When checking out the girl at the front desk said they would have to charge me extra because I broke a glass and also I had people in my room overnight. I did neither. She said she would have to charge me as they had video evidence. I said show me the video evidence. She said she can't show it to me but she will look at it herself. She looked at the video evidence for a long time and of course I didn't have any guests in my room but she didn't even apologize for wasting my time (I almost missed my flight because of the delay) and the stress caused and just said she will tell the manager there must be some mix up. This hotel is not professional.

I've arrived in Helsinki and am now at the hotel.
