Vamana Resort

My entire trip to Bali was wonderful and I'd love to go back, but my experience at Vamana Resort was truly the worst. • Poor bedding + refusal to change it From the moment I entered the room, the bedding was extremely dirty and had a strong, old, widower-like smell, so I requested a replacement. However, despite my request, they never did. From this point on, I felt they were already failing at basic maintenance. • Inconvenient sunflower shower + water cut off during shower On my last day, the water suddenly completely cut off during the shower, forcing me to stand still, even after I'd finished soaping myself. I finally asked for bottled water and barely managed to rinse it off with ice-cold water. After showering, the water finally came back, but the first drop was yellow, which was even more disconcerting. I even brushed my teeth with the remaining bottled water. • I explained the situation, but they charged me for the bottled water. In this situation, I thought the resort should apologize and take action, but they charged me for the bottled water the next morning. When I explained the situation, they apologized but firmly insisted I still had to pay. I wasted time and experienced significant inconvenience, but I felt like I was the one who lost out. In the end, I didn't pay for the bottled water. 4. Wasted Time Due to Incorrect Breakfast Information The day before checkout, I had to catch a boat at 9:00 AM, so I asked if breakfast was available to take away. The resort clearly stated, "Breakfast is available from 8:00 AM, so you can eat it before you go." However, I ordered and waited the next day, but the food still hadn't arrived by 8:40 AM, so I had to leave in a hurry without eating. If they had told me from the beginning that takeaway wasn't available, they would have prepared something else. The misinformation only resulted in wasted time, stress, and almost missing the boat. My trip to Bali was wonderful, and I have only fond memories, but I truly don't want to stay at Vamana Resort again. I've never seen such a poor standard of service and customer service.

My friends and I had an amazing stay at Vanama Resort. The island itself is small but absolutely beautiful, and from this resort you really have everything you need. I want to give special thanks to Jaki and Yousep, the “bossmens” of the resort. From the very first day, they made us feel incredibly welcome and we had such a great time with them throughout our stay. They also helped us organize activities like bike rentals and snorkeling trips, which felt much more trustworthy and personal than the typical tourist stands around the island. On top of that, they even arranged our transfer to Lombok and helped us sign up for a 3-day Mount Rinjani trekking tour, everything could be taken care of directly through them. We had an unforgettable experience here, and I’ll definitely be coming back in the future, especially for Jaki and Yousep. Hotel with fantastic design and amazing staff, the beach in front of the hotel always has water all day long, after 4 pm the tide goes out and in the rest of the island it becomes difficult to go for a swim. I recommend it.
