1 out of 5. PROBABLY THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!! BEWARE THIS PLACE AND READ MY REVEIEW CAREFULLY IF YOU DON'T WANT TOI FIND YOURSELF ON THE STREETS OF ROME AT 9 PM AFTER YOU PAID A NON-REFUNDABLE RATE!!! 1. The reception operates only until 19:30 - after that you must pre-book a late check-in, which costs 50 euros. It is quite obvious this is done intentionally to earn extra money, because if the intention were to help guests, they would have introduced keyboxes for self check-in years ago! 2. We arrived at 20:30, and no one answered the phone or responded via Booking.com. Yes, in their messages they warned that arrangements must be made in advance – and fine, I was ready to pay the 50 euros for my inattentiveness. But for heaven’s sake, why did they simply leave us outside, forcing us to go look for another hotel at 21:00? 21:00 is a perfectly normal check-in time! GUYS YOU'RE NUTS??? 3. In the morning, I received a message that my entire 2-day reservation had been completely cancelled and the money fully charged – all “according to the cancellation policy”. Do you carefully study the cancellation policy when booking a room at the price level of a 4* hotel? And do you expect that for 150 euros per night you must behave like a meticulous lawyer just to avoid falling into some fine-print traps? 4. The DELUXE room was extremely noisy, with no kettle, no glasses, NOT EVEN A LOCK ON THE BATHROOM DOOR – nothing you would reasonably expect from a hotel at this price point. 5. The breakfast was very poor. If this were a hostel for 40 euros, I would accept it. In the end, we stayed in a nearby building at almost half the price and received a normal 4-star experience. On the positive side, I can mention the young woman at the reception, who was clearly embarrassed by her boss’s policies and tried her best to make up for it – she packed our breakfast for a picnic, the coffee was good, and the bed was very comfortable. Poor value for money. The room was unbreathable due to a strong sewer smell, and the cleanliness was poor. The only positive was the comfortable bed.

September 22, 2025: Booked a 4-night getaway through Expedia. Easy to find thanks to Google Maps, but unfortunately, there was no private parking to unload the suitcases. So, I quickly unloaded and drove to the nearest parking garage (Saba parking, a 400-meter walk away, costs €22 per day). We received a friendly welcome and, after completing the formalities, used our key card to go to our room. The room was neat and clean, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful, practical bathroom with a rain shower. Via Veneto Suites is located outside the ZTL zone, so it's easy to reach by car. The old city wall is right across from the hotel, and once behind it, you can explore the old city of Rome. Several nice restaurants are within a 10-minute walk, so you don't have to go far for a bite to eat or a drink. All in all, a great stay and definitely recommended for anyone planning a trip to Rome.
