We stayed here for the third time last weekend, and unfortunately, we found that the hotel has declined significantly. We booked the hotel because it's directly across from the Florian Silbereisen Schlagerboom 2026 event. The hotel seemed to be fully booked, which is good. What I don't understand is why the lobby bar is closed. There were constantly 30 to 50 fans in the lobby who surely would have liked a drink, especially after the event on Saturday. The restaurant next to the lobby is also closed! Food is only available on the 22nd floor, obviously with a reservation. Even on Saturday after the event, there was no chance of getting anything on the 12th or 14th floors without a reservation. I think your hotel lost several thousand euros in revenue that evening alone. We also wanted to relax in the spa, but at reception, we were told that the whirlpool was broken. Judging from the reviews here, this has been the case for months. Why?? As smokers, we had to stand outside the hotel because the smoking room was filled with smoke. You could barely see your hand in front of your face. There are two patio heaters in front of the main entrance, but of course, they weren't switched on. Why would they be? No one could explain the purpose of the locked wooden hut in front of the entrance. At check-in (we had booked three nights), we were asked if it would be okay if the hotel didn't clean the room every day. We were surprised but agreed. At that point, we didn't yet know all the things that weren't working. If I had known, I wouldn't have agreed. Yes, at check-out, I complained, and they gave me a €5 discount per day for parking (normally €25 per day). That's quite a concession! All in all, there are plenty of other hotels with direct tram access. We certainly won't be booking here again.

This is our second year in a row at this hotel, and we're extremely satisfied. Each time we stayed at the Velodrome, so we only had to cross the street to get there. Public transport is also right outside the door. We used room service for breakfast. Unfortunately, you have to tick a box to select your preferences, and it's a bit of a gamble whether you'll actually receive them. Therefore, we're deducting one point for service. Our room on the 8th floor has a fantastic view over Berlin.

The rooms are roomy, clean, and furnished to a high standard, with comfortable beds and a tranquil atmosphere that promotes restful sleep. The friendly, professional service is particularly noteworthy. From check-in to breakfast, guests feel well taken care of. The breakfast selection is varied, fresh, and leaves little to be desired.
