The location is positive, being central and close to many attractions, as are the size and amenities of the room (a good bed with two pillows, plenty of storage space, and all necessary toiletries for hand and body, plus a complimentary bottle of water in the bathroom). Otherwise, the hotel is quite dated. Cleanliness in the room (mold in the shower and on the window frames, as well as a receipt from a previous guest dated January 6th on the bedside table) and the service at reception (despite online check-in, a second check-in, and being asked to pay the Rostock tourist tax) were not up to par for such an expensive hotel. Our room faced a side street, and the traffic noise was disruptive at night because the windows were not soundproof. Due to low occupancy, there was no breakfast buffet, but rather a tiered tray with low-quality cold cuts and wilted greens. Unfortunately, the service at the table was also not very guest-oriented, as we had to ask for many things instead of being offered them. In conclusion: the price/performance ratio is poor. We stayed at the hotel as part of the "Anchoring in Home Port" program and paid a reduced price, but even this price was not considered appropriate for our experience at the hotel.

We went to Rostock to go to the Christmas market and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Central location with the Christmas market just 50m from the hotel. Nice room and ok breakfast. Crowded in the hotel's parking garage. Low ceilings and not many free spaces. If you chose not to have your room cleaned, the hotel offered a "surprise" of 2 apples... Nice staff at the reception and areas to have a drink or play some games in the lobby.
