Check in and meals are at the big hotel near by, Hotel punta, which can be very busy. Hotel punta is looking tired, the ceiling at reception has had a number of bodged repairs and a large number of lights have failed. Reception is mixed, some lovely staff and some unhelpful staff. Meals are mixed,had a couple of delicious meals but generally they are mediocre. Villa Arausa needs a refurbishment,we paid for a sea view but got a room at the side overlooking the carpark with the sea on the left. The room itself has a number of marks on the walls, bubbling paintwork and the door frame was loose. No kettle or tea/coffee making facilities. No mini bar, just a tiny old fridge. Missing tiles under the door to the balcony. Room service were very friendly but failed to change our bedding during our 11 night stay. Location is excellent, both for swimming and exploring. Swimming pool was closed for refurbishment. WiFi was very good.

Unfortunately, the experience at this hotel (villa Arausa) was below expectations. The biggest problem was the approach of the staff - instead of being supportive of the guests, they often made mistakes and reacted to them without apology, which leaves a very bad impression. Specifically, when checking in, we received a room card, went and settled in, only to have other guests open our room a few minutes later and say that they had also been given the same room number. We went to the reception, and the employee replied - I must have been missing - without an apology. The room card did not work very well, we went to the reception to check and they gave us a master card that opens all the rooms in the villa, which is not a good option at all because I cannot know who has what intentions and I myself do not feel safe if I know that there is a possibility that someone else in the villa has a card with which they can open my room. The room we were accommodated in was not clean enough. The bed linen and towels had visible yellow stains, which should not be acceptable in a hotel of this category. The towels are of poor quality. The room had cobwebs, mosquitoes that other guests had squashed on the walls, the wallpaper was lifted, the tiles on the balcony were separated. The bed was soft, but bearable. While the extra bed for the child was of extremely poor quality and the floorboards were falling out. As for the restaurant and food, the situation was additionally demanding because we have a child with allergies. Allergies and special diets were emphasized when booking the accommodation. Unfortunately, the kitchen and staff were not informed in advance about special dietary needs, and coordination between employees was poor – we had to ask and check ourselves every day what the child was allowed to eat. The restaurant is almost always full and stuffy, because it is used by a large number of guests from the entire complex (10 floors of the Punta Hotel and 3 villas, each with 3 floors). The cleanliness and quality of the food were also not up to par – we noticed ants on the table, and a piece of dishwasher wire was found in the mashed potatoes, which is particularly worrying. Allergens are not listed next to the food, which makes it even more difficult to find food that the child is allowed to eat. One evening it said hake in white wine, but the dish was breaded hake. The surroundings of the hotel were not maintained, and the main complex of the Punta Hotel seemed to be stuck in the last century. I am sorry to have to leave such a review, but I think it is important that the problems mentioned are addressed. The hotel has potential, but without significant improvements in cleanliness, organization and professionalism of the staff it is difficult to expect a pleasant experience.

Excellent location, right on the beach. The food is excellent, the staff very friendly. The rooms are tidy, quiet, and clean. I would especially like to praise Ms. Eda Radetic from the sales department. We had a problem that she resolved before our arrival. She welcomed us all as promised! Having such competent staff in the company is a true blessing! We will be back! My recommendation: 10+!
