Stayed at Arco in a 1 bedroom suite for one week early January. We had a great week overall. Villa del Arco is gorgeous - the staff are very friendly and the resort is very clean and well situated. Rooms - our 19 year old stayed on the pull out couch and had the 2nd bathroom as his own. It was spacious and clean. It was really nice to have the room cleaned daily and a turn down service. Pool - never seemed too busy, always got a chair (the ones facing the beach are the first ones reserved by 6 am) in a good location. There are a number of hot tubs - both at the pool and around the grounds. The water aerobics and volleyball were fun activities. We brought our own floaties but the resort has extras - probably from other guests leaving them. Gym - I loved the gym! It's spacious, very clean and has a lot of equipment. It was never too busy. Spa - a slice of heaven! I had several massages (make sure you get a deal through concierge or go to the 'getaway' presentation and don't pay full price) and used the amenities. Cold, warm and hot tubs, steam room, sauna, lockers, showers. The staff are amazing and it was wonderful to spend time there Villa Palmar- went there for the sports bar and to play pickleball. They have equipment you can use. Off site activities- there is always a deal to be made. Just go with a reputable company. I followed Everything Cabo on FB prior to going to looked for reviews. Just on the beach, down the stairs from the resort you could go on a kayak, paddle board (free if staying at the resort) and rent jet skis or take a boat to Lover's/Divorce Beach and the Arch. It was easy. Talk to Giovanni :) You could also go to the Marina for lots of options. Beach - I already knew the beach wasn't the best for swimming but for a dip it was absolutely fine as long as you are cautious. It's a gorgeous beach and we did walk to the marina once. It's just not the easiest beach to walk as it's all on a slant. Restaurants - we enjoyed all of the restaurants but Neptune's view & food were stunning! El Patron had the same view but lower level. I LOVED breakfast at El Patron each morning. Great selection and omelette bar! Getaway (aka Timeshare) presentation - we did this (total 3 hours all said and done) and it went okay. They give you 3 different people to talk to. We were fine with the 1st person but the 2nd one was too pushy. We did get some very discounted massages and golf out of the deal. If you do spend the time, use the opportunity to secure a few deals before going to the presentation. The Getaway Package wasn't right for us at this point, but could be for others. We booked this package through The Villa Group directly. It came with airport transportation to/from the resort (approx 40 minutes from airport)and $900 in resort credits. The credits were useless - approx $600 in massage credits, but only able to use $65 per massage and the price they were charging for the massage was $320!! CRAZY! $15 off a bottle of wine but the price of the bottle was absurd. Lesson learned - if it sounds too good to be true it usually is :( One of our friends had to go to the hospital. The staff were helpful and she ended up at St. Lukes Private Hospital 10 minutes away. Excellent care and covered by their medical insurance. The biggest frustration was trying to get answers to certain questions and no one able to answer them. They all work for The Villa Group but all staff have their own 'lane'. If you want an answer or something to be resolved, it takes time and patience. Even then, it may not happen. Overall we really enjoyed this resort and would absolutely return.
