Our stay at Elia Villas (part of the large Villa Elia Resort complex in Zakynthos) left the same memories that we want to tell our friends about for a long time. The place immediately impresses with its atmosphere of comfort and Greek convenience - green paths, olive trees and silence, which is so appreciated after a noisy beach. Our room was spacious and bright: a comfortable bed, a modern bathroom, air conditioning and a balcony, which received the morning sun - exactly what we needed after long walks on the island. The kitchen in the apartment is well equipped, which allowed us to prepare breakfast or light dinners ourselves, and in the evening we often sat on the veranda with a glass of wine and listened to the quiet rustling of the leaves. Between the buildings there are two wonderful swimming pools, where you can swim in the morning and afternoon, and next to them there is an area with sun loungers and a comfortable area for relaxing in the sun. Breakfast at the snack bar by the pool is a different story: fresh pastries, fruits, Greek yogurt with honey and coffee that gives you a good mood for the whole day. The staff was very friendly: they greeted us with a smile, in the evening they suggested the best beaches for sunset, and the bar was always happy to serve us a refreshing cocktail after a hot day. I especially remembered how one evening we spontaneously organized a barbecue in the grill area - the smell of grilled meat, fresh herbs and laughter of friends created the atmosphere for which it is worth going to Zakynthos. The location is also excellent: you can walk to Agios Ioannis beach in about a few minutes and there are many cafes and small shops nearby where you can buy fresh produce.
