Our stay at Pousada Vila Sabiá was, without exaggeration, one of the worst lodging experiences we've ever had. We arrived expecting peaceful days with the children, rest, and a swimming pool. What we found was the opposite: cat feces in the pool. The area was closed off for cleaning precisely during the day, when the children most wanted to use it, and even then there weren't even chairs or umbrellas to minimize the discomfort. In the rooms, the situation was even worse. Cleanliness was far below acceptable, there was an infestation of mosquitoes, and no protection against the morning light—the sun flooded the room in the early hours, making any rest impossible. The result was immediate: one of the children was covered in bites, to the point of becoming ill, and the other developed an allergic reaction, clearly caused by the lack of hygiene in the environment. We tried to resolve the issue politely, asking for support and then a refund for the days we couldn't stay. The owner's response was simply absolute disregard—he ignored our requests and acted as if the problem wasn't his. We were forced to leave to protect our children. We left frustrated, indignant, and feeling completely disrespected as guests and as parents. A guesthouse that aims to receive families cannot offer an unhealthy, unsafe environment and, worse, treat its clients with such contempt. We do not recommend it.
