Villas Dulcinea

A modern, two-story townhouse with a garage. The complex is very quiet, where residents live alongside the townhouses, which are holiday apartments managed by the hotel they belong to. I went on a family trip and everything was great. There's a pool and paddle tennis court (bookable), and the beach is within walking distance. The first is pebbly, so it's great if you're bringing a pet; the second is sandy, a 15-minute walk, or even shorter. Of course, with the heat and if you're bringing children or adults, it's better to have a car. Good waves, which surprises me, being Mediterranean. Lots of people, you know, the usual thing in this coastal area. Parking in the sandy beach area is a bit difficult, lots of people, an area of hotels and second homes. The Villas are in the quietest part of Alcossebre, so I wasn't looking for a party, so it's great for me. Those who prefer being closer to the beach bar, shops, and bars might think it's far away, but a car can fix everything in 15 minutes. The decor is beautiful and modern. Two bathrooms on the first floor and a toilet on the ground floor, along with the kitchen and dining room. An outdoor terrace with a dining table completes the ground floor. The bedrooms have a small terrace. On the second floor, there's the roof, so to speak, the attic area with another wonderful table and barbecue. I didn't use this area of the second floor; climbing two floors with food and drinks was uncomfortable and complicated. If you have mobility issues, so many stairs are a pain, especially since there are no bedrooms on the ground floor. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. There's nothing to clean or eat, so it's essential to buy a basic kit so you can use the washing machine and dishwasher, and clean up minimally if you're cooking. And details like salt or sugar, just don't forget that there's nothing at all. There's a garage, and it's a luxury to be able to walk from the garage directly into the apartment. This is the second time in my life I've been able to enjoy something like this, and I really felt almost "rich." In any case, you could park on the street without any problems. The area is quiet and residential. There's air conditioning, a bit old, but good, and it did its job. A huge TV with Netflix and Prime, so great. Access to the property is via an app where you register (it's essential for everyone who's coming) and you open and close it from your phone. Once inside, you have a set of traditional keys in case you need them. Entry and exit are unmanned. I had no contact with anyone; you follow the registration instructions in the app, and once registered, as indicated, you access with that app. Each guest must register and provide a copy of their ID. Try to check in before arriving, so if something prevents the app from completing it, you can call/write and they can resolve it so you don't have to wait on the street. My group included minors over 11 years old, then adults for payment, and minors before the law. Therefore, when I checked in, it said there were no minors and that all adults were expected, and it wouldn't let me complete the registration. I called and they resolved it, and the app let me bring the minors in, but of course, it took about an hour. In my case, since I booked it while traveling, I didn't have to wait on arrival. I'd read many complaints about the app check-in issue, so I booked it early to avoid waiting outside if problems arose. You can check in on the day of arrival; it doesn't have to be at check-in time, which starts at 5 p.m. Check-out is at 10 a.m., so you can't enjoy the facilities on your last day. It's not cheap, but the experience made up for it, and as I said before, spending a few days like a summer for the "rich" with its urbanization, pool in the chalet, and proximity to the beach. For those of us who live in an apartment, the upgrade to a chalet is wonderful, even if it's just for a few days. Try not to go during the height of summer. You'll find better prices and fewer people outside of the typical July-August rush. The beds and furniture are good, and they're pet-friendly, so pets are welcome without extra charges.
