Booking at this hotel was a terrible experience. I booked on expedia, with cancellation insurance. My 18 year old daughter and her friend were going to stay there, to be close to shopping while I stayed with family. I booked on expedia with my credit card in her name. I tried to check in for her earlier in the day, but wasn't able to, she had to be with me. So I returned later to check in. The clerk indicated that my credit card couldn't be used unless I was also staying in the room. Since my daughter is only 18, she doesn't have ger own credit card. They wouldn't accept any other form of payment. If the clerk had been apologetic about this situation, it would have been easier to take. But he was rude and notably condescending through our entire interaction. He gave off that booking through an app, such as expedia, made me a less valuable client. We ended up booking down the road at CanadInns, where they were okay with me booking my child in on my credit card. I am still in the process of trying to get a refund from expedia, but I am aware that the hotel manager declined to refund. I am instead going through the cancellation insurance that I thankfully bought.

Went into the lounge because the restaurant closed at 2pm. Was told by the restaurant they have a food menu. When going into the lounge I asked a Filipino woman sitting at a table, who was going through receipts if I order through her. She told me to sit anywhere and "she will help you". I sat myself and waited. I noticed an older blonde woman taking orders from others. I say for five minutes. A couple of guys came and sat at the next table and were greeted right away by the blonde woman and had drinks right away. She asked them if they wanted a food menu. She then stood and talked to another person eating his meal, while I sat there. She definitely ignored me. The only difference between me and the men that were served is that I am Indigenous and there were not. I do not drink alcohol or gamble and wanted to eat, so I was very disappointed. I walked out without being approached by anyone working at the lounge. Will never go back to the hotel for any service whatsoever. In all, I sat for 15 minutes while I watched others who arrived after me get served.

Some of the rooms need a serious update, but I cant speak for them all. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Location is awesome. Pool is cool with a cool slide, the gym is very small and could use a bit of a touch up
