Vista Mirage Resort

A safe 15-minute walk to downtown Palm Springs. Spacious accommodations.

This was my second year staying at the Vista Mirage Resort. Overall, this place was great and the staff were kind. Our flight arrived early and they were able to accommodate an early check-in. Our room was tidy, the resort was quiet, and the pools and hot tubs were clean. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the very end. We left on an early Sunday, leaving our key cards in the room because the front desk was closed. As soon as I closed the door to our room, I remembered that I left my black vest and grey long-sleeve on top of the bed in the primary. This was my fault. I meant to wear this at the airport, but hey, I simply forgot. I immediately called the two numbers for the resort, but they both went to an automated voicemail. Bummer. The front desk is also closed on Sundays. I figured I would call the following morning as soon as they opened and this would be a simple case of shipping my clothing back to me. I called first thing Monday morning, and the receptionist told me nobody had been in the room yet, and that they'd tell housekeeping to look for it. Unfortunately, it wasn't there anymore. I'm so bummed because it's very difficult for me to believe that my clothing was "lost" in just 24 hours. My black and grey clothing would be easy to spot on TOP of a white bed. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to stay here again.

Front dest staff are very kind and helpful. The living space is large and has everything you need including a kitchen that is fully stocked with pots/pans/plates/silverware. Beautiful grounds that are well maintained. Heated pool and cold-plunge pool are clean and have ample seating/lounge chairs. DVD player in room with library of free rentals available from the front desk. Close access to public transportation making it easy to many destinations. Grocery store within 5 minute walk. Parking on-site. Secure building after-hours.
