The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and very clean. I appreciate that there are places on every floor to refill your water bottle, rather than getting plastic throw-away bottles. And I appreciate that all the toiletries are in big bottles. However. Avoid their breakfast, it's very, very bad. The "hot" food is stone cold and the pastries are at least a day old. Apparently the dining room staff are aware of these issues because as soon as I mentioned that the food was bad one of them said "it was cold?". And the bed was the least comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in; I woke up sore all over. If we visit chicago again we definitely won't stay at Voco again.

Hotel staff was nice, especially at the bar on the 15th floor. However, the rooms are old, rusted, and need updating. The grout in the sink and showers, and around the toilet are dirty and past needing to be redone. The closet was missing wood. The towels and washcloths are dingy and yellow looking. It’s just sad how much this hotel charges for the bare minimum when it comes to keeping the hotel rooms up. Please update your rooms fully!
