We had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. From the second the hotel comes into view you are scooped up into a bubble of excellent and attentive customer service, the door staff greet you warmly then on entering there is not a staff member who passes without welcoming you, saying hi and even asking how you are /slept or how your day has been! it’s another level of service than we have experienced anywhere else - we use Marriott very frequently allover the world travelling for business to a variety of long haul destinations and can honestly say this hotel has one of the most consistently high level of service throughout the whole team. There was not one exception to the rule in terms of staff they were all outstanding! Isabel on reception who was our first point of contact was excellent and followed up on us throughout our stay for a truly personalized service Whoever is training this team deserves a hospitality medal as they are having great success :) Thank you for such a great stay

We stayed at W Edinburgh on the final night of our Scotland road trip, and it was an exceptional, deeply memorable experience from start to finish. The moment we arrived, the hotel struck the perfect balance between bold design, comfort, and warmth. The atmosphere feels modern and confident without ever being cold. There’s an immediate sense that this is a place where people genuinely care about you. What truly elevated our stay, though, was the people. Especially Kijean, who welcomed us with such ease and kindness, has an incredible ability to make guests feel seen and understood without anything ever feeling forced. His recommendations were thoughtful and spot-on, and it was clear how deeply he knows both the city and the experiences that make Edinburgh special. One of his suggestions ended up being a real highlight of our trip, and it felt less like a generic recommendation and more like advice from a friend who knows exactly what you’ll enjoy. Kijean seamlessly introduced us to Gregor from the concierge team, who continued the warm welcome with genuine enthusiasm and fascinating insights into Scottish culture and history that really stood out. The care extended well beyond those first interactions. The reception team immediately helped us with extra feather pillows, making the already incredibly comfortable bed even better. Breakfast the next morning was relaxed and generous, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate special requests that weren’t even on the menu with kindness and ease. These small moments of attentiveness added up to something that felt effortless but deeply intentional. The room was pure enjoyment, beautifully designed and supremely comfortable – with a jaw-dropping view of Edinburgh Castle. The quality of the interior, the overall sense of space, and, most of all, the bed made for one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. You should see my Sleep Cycle score. Our stay wasn’t tied to some major occasion – it was simply the last night of our vacation, a moment of winding down and reflecting before heading home and back into work. And yet, it felt genuinely special. W Edinburgh managed to turn a Sunday night into something so memorable through great atmosphere, an eye for detail, and people who clearly love what they do. We left feeling both relaxed and a little sentimental – and already know that when we return to Scotland, this hotel will be high on our list again.
